Jonathan Tyler : Underground Forever / Hustlin'

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in splendid isolation since March 11th. Trying to maintain a sense of normalcy has been challenging at times. Music has always been my go-to during normal, strange, and uncomfortable times. This leads me to Austin, Texas-based artist Jonathan Tyler. Tyler released two new songs and a video. Leading up to this release, Jonathan had been busy touring, writing and producing records for others, and relocating his studio from Nashville to Austin. Recent years saw him building up the Austin studio, acquiring additional gear, and going underground for a spell to write and cut demos for a forthcoming album. In mid-2019, Tyler headed to Los Angeles to put the finishing touches on the batch of songs with super-producer Rob Schnapf. Two of those cuts Underground Forever and Hustlin’ are now available for repeat listening (below). I had the pleasure of listening to his entire new album and I’ll just say that Jonathan Tyler won’t be underground forever once this beast is released. He’s one of the hardest working artists out there today. Believe that.
